There were two light airplane crashes in Toronto yesterday. A Cherokee ditched just short of the Island airport (sorry, "City Centre Airport"), and a Cessna 172 crashed nearby Buttonville Airport. Casualties were limited to a broken leg in the Cessna accident. Details and photos are reported in the Toronto Star (http://www.thestar.com/NASApp/cs/ContentServer?pagename=thestar/Layout/Article_Type1&c=Article&cid=1065737415378&call_pageid=968332188492&col=968793972154) and the Globe & Mail (http://www.globeandmail.ca/servlet/ArticleNews/TPStory/LAC/20031010/UPLANM//?query=buttonville).

Both planes were hired from local flying schools. Guess whose insurance and rental rates will be going up in 2004? :(
