To The Line? On Engine Start Checklist

Hi,

I've been looking at Boeing 737 checklists (non company specific) and CVR transcripts.

I keep reading the phrase: "Engine Start Checklist to the Line."

Where is the line? Haven't seen any on the checklists.

Well the line is there. It marks the point at which a checklist may be held until its completion is necessary following further actions. For example a pre-start checklist may be accomplished then held until its completion is required just prior to engine start.

Some types may not utilize this particular function and some airlines may have different checklists. The checklists are for the operators of that airlines aircraft type/s.
