Rumour though it may be..... Seemingly, ALL the Flying Schools, including Sloane Helicopters at Sywell have been put on notice to find an another Airfield......Seemingly, the land at Sywell is to be redeveloped......For a tarmac runway perhaps????
No timescales known at present
Any other Ppruners heard the same??

Can you at least tell us when & where you heard this rumour!
By the way... I watched some marvellous aerobatic displays there today.

I can confirm that rumour on the authority of the proprietor of one of the flying/maintenance outfits.
