I am playing around with the idea of buying a light aircraft. I live in Australia, and was hoping someone might be able to give me a few tips, like what to look for, how much it costs per year (insurance etc).

Any info would be appreciated.

Cheers:confused:

Orion 1, you should have a look around in the "Dunnunda and Godzone" forums which are here: http://www.pprune.org/forums/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=24 - there are several separate forums there, so one of those would be the best place for this question.

Best,

Andy

Rule No. 1, Get a pre-purchase aircraft and logbook inspection from an independant engineer who is not familiar with the aircraft.

Rule No. 2, If the engineer says "Don't Buy It" then Dont Buy It.

Rule No. 3, work out how much it will cost you, and then double that.

Rule No. 4, If you don't like that answer then you can't afford an aeroplane.

Harsh and cynical but true!
