Saturday 23rd about 12:00 a Cessna 182 and a motorglider collided over southern Germany near Donauwärt (Home of Eurocopter).
In the 182 the pilot, two skydivers and two passengers were killed, so was the pilot of the (not specified) motorglider.

Aus noch ungeklärter Ursache kollidierten sie dann bei Marxheim im schwäbischen Landkreis Donau-Ries in der Luft. Nach Polizeiangaben sind die Opfer fünf Männer und eine Frau im Alter zwischen 21 und 52 Jahren.
Die Bergung auf freiem Gelände dauerte bis zum Sonntag. Die Staatsanwaltschaft ordnete eine Obduktion der Getöteten an, die für Montag in München vorgesehen war. Zum Auffinden aller Trümmer und sterblichen Überreste setzten die Rettungskräfte auch Hunde und Hubschrauber ein. Beide Maschinen wurden völlig zerstört. Wrackteile wie Tragflächen und Leitwerk schlugen bis zu mehr als einen halben Kilometer voneinander entfernt in Feld und Wald auf.
Vier Sachverständige der Braunschweiger Bundesstelle für Flugunfalluntersuchung setzten am Sonntag ihre Ermittlungen am Unglücksort fort. Dort fanden sich am Tag nach dem Absturz erneut auch Angehörige der Opfer ein, die von Einsatzkräften betreut wurden. Die Opfer stammten aus den Landkreisen Donau-Ries, Neuburg- Schrobenhausen und dem nördlichen Landkreis Augsburg.
Den Angaben zu Folge kollidierten der Segler aus Donauwörth und die Cessna 182 aus dem oberbayerischen Burgheim in größerer Höhe. Beide waren offenbar auf Sichtflug. «Die Sicht zur Unglückszeit reichte bis zum Horizont», sagte Polizei-Sprecher Josef Baur. An Bord der Cessna waren der Pilot, zwei Fallschirmspringer und zwei Tandem- Springer. Der Segler war allein unterwegs. Keiner von ihnen überlebte.
Der erste Notruf bei der Polizei ging am Samstag kurz nach 14.00 Uhr ein. Sofort rückten Rettungskräfte aus benachbarten Gemeinden zur Absturzstelle aus. Auch die Polizei Augsburg schickte mehrere Streifen. Der Unglücksort blieb bis zum Sonntag weiträumig abgesperrt. Dieser liegt nur etwa 100 Meter von einer Ortsgrenze entfernt.
Die Cessna war kurz vor dem Unglück im nahe gelegenen Burgheim gestartet, bestätigte ein Sprecher des dortigen Flugplatzes, der tief erschüttert auf die Nachricht vom Absturz reagierte. Am Unglücksort entstand auch ein Feuer, das die Brandbekämpfer jedoch rasch löschen konnten, berichtete der Polizei-Sprecher. Es meldeten sich bis zum Sonntag keine Augenzeugen des Unglücks.
