I'm sure I've read that hangar is listed (goodness knows why) hence it's still there, so probably won't be demolished,

It's been mentioned several times on this thread that the cargo hangar is listed.

Having looked at the councils website it's not under the category of listed buildings. Nor is it included under the Historic England archives.

If someone can actually confirm one way or another I think it might clarify the situation regarding any possible demolition.

It's of no real significance and the airport would gain extra apron space if indeed it was demolished.

Ryanair have loaded winter 2024/25 flights onto their app but most are not available for booking yet.

So far the only change from 2023/24 is that this summer's new route to Agadir continues through the winter. and additional Friday flight to Alicante. This means the based aircraft is utilised every day for 2 destinations unlike last winter when it was sat idle on Tuesday and most of Wednesday.

Alicante 5 weekly W, Th, F, Sa, Su
Malaga 3 weekly Tu, W, F
Edinburgh 3 weekly M, F, Sa
Agadir 2 weekly F, Su
Faro 2 weekly F, Su
Krakow 2 weekly M, Sa
Wroclaw 2 weekly Tu, Sa
Malta 2 weekly F, Su
Tenerife South 2 weekly M, Sa
Arrecife 1 weekly Th
Las Palmas 1 weekly M

Apologies I missed the increase on Alicante from 4 to 5 weekly. Updated having seen MarkyD posting on Facebook.

It looks to me like the full TOM summer schedule requires an aircraft swap every Tuesday when it kicks in at the end of May.

Currently the one based aircraft operates the morning Palma flight and then the Tenerife South flight departing at 15:25 arriving at TFS at 19:30. The return flight departs 20:30 for a 00:25 arrival at BOH.

The Kefalonia and Rhodes flights start 28/5 when the second based aircraft has arrived. The Palma aircraft will then switch to operating to Kefalonia in the afternoon while the second aircraft will be on the morning departure to Rhodes returning at 15:30. It then departs to TFS at 16:30 arriving at 20:35. However the return flight leaves TFS before this aircraft has arrived! Departing at 18:40 for a 22:35 arrival at BOH.

The second based TUI aircraft starts operations tomorrow for the summer season which means 4 B738 based at BOH ( 2 FR & 2 TUI ) a first ever for the airport

EasyJet have released flights now for the whole winter period and sees the Geneva route operate daily except Wednesday until the end of March then 2 x week in April again
Saturday is x 2 through the whole season and Sunday is x 2 over the peak 6 weeks

Hays Travel have added another Norwegian cruise charter using Jet 2 for February 25 after the November flight sold out within a month

Ryanair have started to put on sale S25 much earlier than planned with ALC , AGP , GRO and PMI all going daily from April almost 2 months earlier than this year which go daily from June/ July

Lanzarote goes 2 x week for next summer

Re FR in summer 2025, I wonder if this is the beginnings of their 3rd based aircraft? That's a lot of extra capacity.

Although SOU is my local airport, being just seven miles away, it’s really excellent to see Bournemouth blossoming with new routes and a new operator. If Ryanair do base a third aircraft, this combined with TUI, Jet2 and flights hopping in and out with easyJet means that the airport is beginning to achieve that ‘critical mass’ needed to spur on yet more expansion.

Although not as close to me as Southampton, it’s still a much easier, quicker and nicer journey than battling through the M3 and M25 mayhem to reach certain other airports. All brilliant news!
