Yes, if anything I think its better going in where FR etc have been and left rather than coaxing them into competition.

Is there a possibility that BE are bringing in a 3rd party to operate sun routes? Like Astraeus before with 733?

What are the chances that EI could displace the Little Red contracted 320's to a wet lease operation on behalf of BE ex SOU and EXT? Or 319's?
EI and BE have turned the corner and now cooperate, come along way from the fight on BHD/LGW, and the Flybe Ireland saga...

E195s & "Summer Sun" routes

Flybe are anticipating using the Embraer E195 during Summer 2015. Presumably they've waiting as long as possible to announce summer sun routes from SOU, in case they had been able to dispose of the E195.

There are still routes from Knock and Waterford to be released and a handful of routes in the UK too.
Are these going to be released then too? Flybe say to keep checking the website that they cannot confirm which routes will return until they are released.

The presentation says that it is possible to add capacity using the 195s next summer, not that they definitely will. Of course, it may well be that this is what will happen but you can't read the presentation as stating that it's a dead cert.

I do hope that is for definite, I don't want to doubt your sources gkmeech but is there any reason for this date to be more definite than the ones which have already been promised?

Is my impression right, that BE has started chopping frequencies at pretty short notice? Reference here to the BHX routes to HAJ, STR and MXP, where I have the impression that individual frequencies have been chopped well within the 14 day EU261 window. They all have seen some further (sudden) reductions to their December schedule.

BHX

insuindi

I keep a regular eye on the BHX schedules and I agree with STR and HAJ reductions they weren't there a couple of weeks ago but not sure about Milan.

On the positive side an 8th Edinburgh starts tomorrow (Mondays only), Berlin goes daily for a while and a 5th Amsterdam starts on a Thursday.

Some frequencies in the original schedule were very optimistic for winter but overall they are still superb at BHX and yes they should have realised earlier but they will learn.

I suppose with some of the longer-running routes they should have known better but after a really good summer I can understand they wanted hoping to keep the momentum going after all BHX traffic is a lot less seasonal than some flybe airports due to the NEC traffic although I realise it is not what it used to be.

Roll on the 9th December and hopefully BHX will get something out of it.

Just read that LCY-BHD is going up from 3 to 4 daily, "due to demand".

So the route that a lot of people on this thread and that of Belfast city, were saying wouldn't work and cityjet failed it years ago seems to be ..... well working. I wish people would try and avoid channeling their opinion as fact on here and not slate an airline, or route, until it has had a chance.

Most of the LCY routes have been above 60 pax which isn't bad at all for new routes

For guidance on some early LCY figures look at the CAA provisional stats for SEN, where due to fog some flights ended up on the third day of operations.
