What we have is someone with the correct name - Harold Raasch, who had RAF wings, died in 1997, flew Hurricanes, and in his latter years attended a reunion group in California.
Added to which we have a man of that name who visited me in Selkirk who said he crash landed a Spitfire in a location, where, and in very similar circumstances, a Hurricane crash landed.
Edited to add :- At this stage, I think it is very important that no random inquiries should be made to the aforementioned group. We could be very close to getting some answers here.
