That's a good thing to do. get yourself a small notebook and jot all the codes and entries you need to know and always keep it on you! Even for boarding, as you may well be boarding with codeco.
While shadowing, ask the check-in agent you are shadowing to check all your codes out and ask them to add any important ones you have missed.
