The UNITE Joint General Secretary stated that "We will not be announcing any dates for a strike at this time".
That is the cleverest thing he has said to date. He has 28 days to negotiate what is already imposed thus saving many innocent cabin crew from a battle that was not of their own making. This is bad news for forward bookings and will hit BA's immediate bottom line but on the whole, this comment is the best news I have heard for cabin crew for 12 months.
The imposition will stand and New Contract crew will be employed w.e.f. NOW!
