Type ratings
Hi there Canker
I think I will say it now, but forget going for 737 or A320 type rating. It is not easy to get a job with 0 hours. I now few guys who went this way and they are still out of job.
Well if you have decided to pay for your type rating then go for a turbo prop rating. Something like Fokker F50, ATR or Saab 340 or 2000.
I choosed this way and I'm flying today. And after few hundred hours then you can apply for a jet job if you are interested and then the company will pay the type rating for you.
But before buying the type rating get all info about the "school" because some "schools" out there are only after your money, the quality of the course is bad or the instructors are not professional.
So before taking any decession compare the "schools" and try to get all info possible.
