Stuart Stringer

Stewart passed yesterday after a battle with cancer. We worked together in the UAE at EAS and then at the UAE Royal Flight through the 80's. R.I.P. Stewart. Blue skies and tailwinds mate.

Sad news indeed. I knew Stuart from AUH in 1988 and recall an infectious grin and an ever present willingness to share a beer or two in time-off. He was also a really good instructor with that rare ability to make a check ride a relaxed affair. I know he’ll be remembered very fondly by old friends and colleagues.
RIP Stuart

Was it Stewart or Stuart? I first met Stewart at Anglo American Flight Academy at Meacham Field in Texas in 1981. He was one of the flight instructors there. He went from there to the Middle East. He was a real gentleman with a sparkling sense of humour, There is a newspaper article about him below.

A good question, Draglift - definitely the same person, but I'm afraid its been too many years for me to remember the spelling now. I love the story about the ejection and glass of wine served by the old lady in the Netherlands. Hadn't heard that one before !
