RIP John Myers (JR) ex Red Arrows and FRA (Cobham)

Sadly I have heard that John Myers (JR) passed away on the 28th August.

Jonh was instrumental into me getting into flying, He pushed for a flying scholarship at FRA and I was lucky to get the first one. Without his drive and determination in pushing me forward, giving me guidance and motivation when needed I would not be where I am now.

RIP.

Karl

Very sorry to hear the news .I first met John at CASS aviation college in the early eighties on an ATPL course. He was a charming man and we had many a good laugh trying to work out brain teasers from Mike lebretton. He also offered me a job down in Bournemouth for inflight refuelling but I had already started with BAF.Our paths crossed again at le bourget on a night stop and he was still his cheerful self.My sincere condolences to the family.
