Looking for contact details for David G. Perry

hi there,

Since we won't be doing any flying soon, I thought I would research something I should have much earlier.
Would anyone happen to have contact details for a mr. David G. Perry, who used to fly from Southend?
He was a friend of my father, living in the Chelmsford area, and kindly took a much younger me on a flight in his Piper in the mid- nineties (thereby fueling the aviation bug already present).
We don't have any contact details anymore and no further information apart from the fact that the person who bought his house thinks he may have moved to Sandbanks in Dorset.
I would be nice to call on him the next time we fly to the UK (fingers crossed, hopefully soon) or at the very least send him a note to thank him for introducing me to the GA world.
Seem to remember he owned the aforementioned Piper (PA28 or similar) in white and yellow livery.
If anyone could point me in the right direction, I would be much obliged!
I do hope he is still around and active in the flying scene somechere in the South of the UK.
Thanks and greetings from Belgium!

Hope all of you are in good health!

Bram.

I just took a quick look on 192.com and there is a gentleman with this name living in Poole in Dorset. He also shows up as a former company director in various lists with a birthday year of 1944. He would be 76 and so retired to Sandbanks would fit perfectly.

Hello Bram,

I don't know a David G Perry but I do know David Perry of Southend flying days 1988~1990s era . I remember there used to be a yellow & white PA28 at the Routair club although he didn't fly there - he was with Seawing club, hope this helps... cheers, old-timer

Thanks so much for your replies, ETOPS and old-timer!
That would seem to be the man I am looking for.
I'll have a dig in my photocollection to see if I have a photograph with the registration of the aeroplane in question, old-timer!
Thanks for the info, ETOPS. Will try to get his adress in Poole. (Would that information be on 192.com? Sorry if that is a stupid question, but I'm not familiar with that website ;-)
In any case, thanks for taking the time to point me in the right direction!
Greetings from across the pond.
Bram.

There's a David G perry on old Companies House data, shows an address in Chelmsford and he was director of Arrow Aviation and Compton Abbas Airfield. Latest resignation was July 96 and nothing since then. Born 1944?

That's G-AYUI - there's a 2006 pic on line of its very dusty fuselage in a hangar at Andrewsfield...

Might have been better to send that to the OP as a private message?

Apologies for the delay in replying, gents, but it has been a very busy week.
I had a look round for a picture of the aircraft and it turns out that my memory played a trick on me!
No yellow livery at all, but a very standard Piper red and blue scheme:
She was G-UTSY, A PA-28 yes, but an Arrow.
Tried to post a picture, old-timer, but don't have the required amount of posts yet.

G-INFO says she is now flying in France but was formerly owned by Mr. Perry and subsequently by Arrow Aviation ltd. mentioned above by BirdmanBerry. So I feel confident we are all speaking about the same person.
Thanks so much for all of your help! Will drop him a line asap!
Greetings from Belgium.

Unfortunately no good pictures of the aeroplane, but a nice look at 90's fashion and the Southend flying club apron.

Did you spot that someone posted his address in plain sight a few days ago?
