Captain Eric Lambele , ex Emirates 727/A310/777

I've just heard the very sad news that Eric passed away very recently. Eric was one of life's natural trainers and examiners - any training or checking event with him was guaranteed to be a valuable learning experience, and enjoyable, to boot. I believe I'm correct that he was once the Emirates 727 Fleet boss, and held the seniority number "1" in Emirates for several years. He was an absolute gentleman, on and off the aircraft and was a real loss to the Emirates training department when he retired.

Sincerest sympathy to his family and many friends. His wide grin across the flight deck will not be forgotten.

This is such sad news, I knew that Eric had been taken ill shortly after his retirement. He was a very well respected colleague, Captain and instructor in EK.
Deepest sympathy to his family.
Merci pour tout Eric, ton enthousiasme, ton expérience mais surtout ton sourire restera a jamais avec moi.
