Capt Mike Sawbridge RIP - ex RAF,EAA,BA

I have been asked his widow, Carol, to post the news of Mike's death on Sunday 27 Sept at the John Radcliffe hospital Oxford, after a long illness. Mike joined the RAF in 1957 to fly the Hastings on 114,70 and 24 Sqns, moved onto East African Airways in 1965 and later moved to BA.
The details of his funeral are written by Carol below, but she is trying especially to reach Andy Band, Tony Rossiter, Rusty Ironside, Clive Morris, Steve Morris, Paul Jenner, Rod Cassidy, Nigel Tabberer,Terry Nash, Sir John Kemball, Dave Angela and Tony (Crombie) Galbraith who were some of his colleagues.

"We have fixed Mike’s funeral at the South Oxfordshire Crematorium near Abingdon, at
12 noon on October 14th . No flowers please ,but donations if wished to British Heart Foundation. Afterwards a Squadron/EAA/BA ‘Reunion bash’ will be held at the Home Sweet Home pub at Roke, near Wallingford. If you just want to come to the pub , about 1.30 pm should see us back.

Re the Wake - I would be glad of knowing some expected numbers to help the pub cater and get the dray cart delivery order in! "
