Eligibility for under R-ATPL

I'm attending a Canadian post-secondary aviation program (University of Waterloo, Ontario, Canada) and am interested to know if this would make me eligible for a R-ATP license in the US. I'm a dual American/Canadian citizen and I know I can convert my license in a fairly straightforward way for the US (and if anyone has any advice on how to best investigate this, please leave a comment as it would be greatly appreciated to help me on my journey :)). I realize that pilots are hired on average far beyond even the 1500hr FAA minimum, but I still am wondering if anyone knows how I could verify this about my program, given that select post-secondary programs in the US are eligible for this type of licensing.

Any help is appreciated!

My understanding is that if your school isn't on this list, it won't qualify you for an FAA rATP. It's a US thing:

sjg,

I did some further investigation on your question by contacting a friend of mine who is VERY familiar with all things college-aviation related. I'm afraid he doesn't think there is any connection between non-US college av programs and eligibility for an FAA rATP since these programs are geared toward getting their grads set up for employment in their own countries. He did allow that he can't say for 100% sure that such affiliations don't/can't exist but doubts they do. If they did, I'd expect them to be on that FAA list of rATP programs I provided before.

At least as a Canadian license holder, getting an FAA ticket is pretty easy:

Wish I could offer more encouraging news. Best of luck to you.
