New US Start Up Airline ?
|
From the IBIS Airlines web site.
"Your Invited" "IBIS is currently inviting key, very high net worth individuals who would like to learn more about -" -How to lose all your money. The site shows Boeing 747-400s. Great plane. Very expensive to operate. Flying them domestically doesn't make sense. Now if Southwest or Jet Blue or Alaska/Virgin would like to operate B-767/B-777s on high volume routes. Now that would be something. B-767 100/200 won't work at all. B-767 300 all will need a very expensive cockpit overhaul very soon. You have every cargo airline buying any that becomes available. There are no B-767 400 available used. B-777s are hit and miss. Available one day, gone the next. Trying to put a decent fleet together would be next to impossible. Especially if you are a 'start up' with no track record, and no money. A fanciful idea at best. A outright scam, may be more realistic. It reminds me more of a 'designer/boutique' hotel chain than an airline. |
You know how to make a little money investing in a start-up airline? Start with a lot of money.
It's like giving "good faith money" to a "Nigerian prince." :E |
BALTIA revisited
Looks to be the latest iteration of the Jumbo jet "highly rational", why not...start an airline.
Baltia's founders made a fortune in this Pump and Dump penny stock offering. That was 25 years ago, still trading at .006 pennies, now called US Global. Still no airplanes, no routes, no AOC... Watch carefully folks, caveat emptor. Safe journey...Sushi |

"IBIS is currently inviting key, very high net worth individuals..." I'd expect "very high net worth individuals" to be a bit more shrewd. So, Baltia doesn't need to worry just yet ? ;-))))) |
