Hi Amirhez, I'm in exactly same situation. Would be much easier getting the hours flying in Florida. It will be very touch and go here in the UK due to the weather.

So, any advice from anyone who has gained their PPL in this way would be much appreciated.

Thanks.

A month???

I went to Ormond beach to finish my PPL due to bad weather in the UK. However, I did go with 18 hrs and I finished in a month.
Be aware, this doesn't take into account, weather, Maint issues, your learning curve.
Keep an opened mind, and if you have more time that will certainly help.
I found them friendly and helpful..
Hope this helps

I've seen a couple students finish in 3 weeks. I don't know about the exams, but the ground can be done anywhere. These folks showed up at school ready to take the written.

Hi mate.

Yes it's true you can finish your PPL in less than a month. It all depends which state you do your training and the school. Most important make sure the flying school is FAA Part 141 Approved.
