B767 Sim Test
Hi
I have a possible job coming up on the 767. Roughly what is involve to get me legal on the 767. It is on my FAA licence and last flew it in December 2011. A sim ride? Regards Pin |
Not sure exactly what the regs are, but you are non-current so at least you would need recurrent training and a check. It has been more that two years so I think most places would want you to go through the type course again.

[RANT]How do you get a FAA certificate and not learn what it takes to keep it current?[/RANT]
That being said, it's going to depend on what rules you're operating under. 61.58 says you need a PC in the type in question in the last 24 months and a PC in a type that requires a type within the last 12 months. When you last flew it does not matter except that you don't have 3 TOs & landings in the last 90 days. If your last 767 PC was in November of 11 and you completed a PC in a DC-3 in November of 12 you could crank up and go around the pattern three times without people or freight in back and you'd be legal till the end of November. There's a reason the FAA frowns on the operation of large turbojets under part 91. Part 125 says you have to have recurrent GS and a PC within the last 12 months. |
