Difference Rating Q300 to Q400
 

Hi
Im current on Dash8-Q300 and would like a Q400 on my ATP ticket
any info on where and how much can it cost?

On a FAA certificate all you get is DHC-8. That covers 100s, 200s, 300s and 400s.

Im glad the FAA has their heads screwed on correctly then because in Canada the Q400 has its own type rating which is not covered by the 100, 200 and 300 DH8 Rating.

Bombardier did try though...

I would try getting onto a CAE or FlightSafety Course - check their website for costs. As for locations you would have most of the major North American centres - New York, Toronto, Dallas, Seattle.

I've only ever done training at FlightSafety, but I hear CAE has some pretty decent simulators ;)
