Visa's
Is it possible to get a job and live in the US on an L1 visa.
I have never heard of this type of visa but my brother was telling me about it. Does anyone have one? Does it exist? 152 |
The L1 visa is an intracompany visa, allowing you to live and work in the US, for transfers with an existing employer.
Yes, you can live and work on it. I know a large number of people who have these visa's. The first individual I got one for was in 1991. I suggest you read the INS site for full details and information; http://www.ins.usdoj.gov/graphics/index.htm |
Yep as Cyclic Hotline says, the L1 visa is for intercompany transfers.
As a director of a UK software house, this is the Visa I received when I moved to the States to open a US branch of my company. It took nearly 7 months to come through, which is longer than normal - I believe that they are currently taking approx 6-8 weeks. You can find out more at the INS website. Regards, 757 |
