HKCAD or CASA to FAA
 

I have a relatively complicated situation regarding my friend's licence coonversion.

He is holding a CASA CPL and a HKCAD CPL with ATPL theories passed, but his IR ME, B747 rating and medical was lapsed 5 years ago. Now he got a job offer and wanna start flying again.

Can he obtain FAA CPL licence without current medical and IR ME? Is a sim sesion in the states able to revalid the licence and the flight test together?

I hope I may have some advise here. Thanks in advance!!!
