To those of us, who know NWA's glorious history of employee relations, this comes as no surprise.

My god. I can scarcely believe it.

Anyone know how much the CEO and his direct reports make in base salary and the other nice bits on top ?

I wonder if they will be rummaging through garbage cans looking for left overs?

Makes me sick. Thoughts to all @ NWA affected by this lunacy.

I always equate NWA with Minnesota..One of the most Liberal/Socialist states in the U.S.
Based on that it should be the taxpayers responsibilty to take care of those who lose employment.

Minnesota is changing. In some ways for the better, in others - not so much.

Great Circle.

The former NWA CEO, Mr. Richard Andersen, receives for the rest of his life a salary of about $60,000 per month.

This is in addition to his previous salary while "employed" and his stock options.

Their present CEO, :8 Mr. Doug Steenland, probably will do just as well. There are some "tails" that wag Mr. Steenland's "dog". One was already at USAirways :E .

One often wonders how much the Board of Directors are paid in order to employ such "leaders" who to various degrees, are seriously lacking in people skills. Sadly, the Board of Directors have little regard for their responsibility for the future of NWA.
Ironically, the airline business is all about people.

And they carry people around much more than cargo.

Former Continental CEO Mr. Gordon Bethune stated that he was not interested in trying to run NWA: he had fired a number of mgmt. types at Continental who went to NWA! ;)

Mr. Bethune made quite a statement.

Simply cannot believe that any company would put something like this out.

Unbelieveable, while the upper staff get rich doing nothing.

This is typical of the unabashed arrogance that American corporate leaders openly demonstart without shame, concience, or morality.
