...and safely down, no gear at all, both props feathered in the flare, on the centreline, not so much as a spark, live on Sky.
If you haven't seen it yet, you will. Queenair??? I'd take a bow! |
Is the pilot a PPRuNer, i wonder?
:ok: :ok: |
Anyone got a link to this???

Impressive, right on the centre line, everybody ok and minimum damage.
Usual slightly sensationalist reporting though. |
According to Sunrise, it lost it's landind gear prior to landing.
Sheeeeeesh........ :yuk: |
Watched it all on Sky. As it came in over the runway, I said to Mrs G ... "If he's (she's)a real clever klogs, the props will feather now" and they did! Lovely, lovely job. Well done Sir (or Madam). Take the rest of the day off ... you've earned it.

Beautiful, That is going to used as a textbook.
How much flap? Just from what I could see on my computer there did not seem to be an awful lot but I certainly don't know the plane. Did not lift the nose, just let it settle flat, more like a water landing than a traditional land one. Is that in the manual or just a very, very good pilot? I don't want to see incidents but I have to say it was almost a pleasure to watch an excellent pilot at work. |
