That tells you all you need to know about the (lack of) intelligence of union bosses.

Boeing should either locate more production away from the Puget Sound area or factor in strike delays to production plans. The union labor there strikes at the end of every contract as reliably as the sun rises. It has nothing to do with workplace issues, the union labor plans for an extra long vacation at strike time.

Maybe not the most effective way of communicating their message, or maybe an invitation?

Maybe the message here is "Behold the enemy"?

When I first saw the ad while reading Wednesday's paper, I didn't look at the picture and mainly observed who had signed (and presumably paid for it). But it took about a nanosecond when I actually looked at the picture to notice the wingtip

Even SPEEA - the engineers union at Boeing - signed it. My union dues at work

At least it didn't have the skyline of Charleston, South Carolina in the background.

In all fairness, while a representative of SPEEA did sign it, it was an Advertising Agency hired by the organization that produced the advertisement and put it in the paper. Had someone from SPEEA seen the ad beforehand, this would have been prevented.

And I also suspect that it could now read "the 253,399 jobs it supports."
