Easy vs Ryan vs Ryan via Brookfield
 

All you luvvlie chaps and chapesses working for these two please do tell what is the best deal overall as I will be very shortly in a position to be considered by both as a well qualified captain on type.

Also, please do tell of the experience via Brookfield. Is it a better deal or do you get considered more quickly via the agency. What are the advantages if any?

From way south of the equator.

Ryanair is offering, through Brookfield, a two year contract (this may be slightly wrong, but not by much) to all new pilots. They pay around 135 Euro/hr (Capt) and you will do at least 850 hours/year. You sort your own taxes. You work 5 on, 5 off. You give a base preference which they will TRY to roster you out of 3 weeks in 4, not guaranteed. You are responsible for all HOTAC (B&B's) and transport to work. You may use the Ryanair network to position to work for free if you are in uniform. I believe the contract may turn permanent (your choice) at the end of two years, then you go to 5 earlies 3 off, 5 lates 3 off and have a fixed base. Pay is £45K basic gross (circa), with approx £20K flight pay NET. These are figures for a London base. The roster is solid and you are at home every night as a permanent jockey. Many training jobs are available to all the workforce, permanent and contract. Good company fully JAR compliant big mix of nationalities which works really quite well. Pretty good atmosphere in general, lots of Easyjet pilots have being interviewed in the last few months as they seem to have moral and roster stability problems. Also they may have some cracks in their product as they lost some money last year. Easyjet is quite British in its approach to aviation whereas Ryanair is more European styled in my opinion. No back stabbing in Ryanair, just to your face if there are issues. Thats my two pennies worth, I am pretty happy with the Ryans.

For non type rated people it might be a good deal if you have rich parents.

Heard that Ryan better to work for than Easy.

Non typeed people joining Ryan via Brookfield have to pay 29,000 Euros for the type rating, and pay for all hotac etc during the course. No pay during line training either.

So why would one want to go through Brookfield? Is there an advantage?

And Buana, do you confirm salaries at Ryanair ???? This sounds extremely low to me. 45K basic gross seems nearly nothing.

Now, which bases does Ryanair run ? Upon joining, can you make a choice ?
