Orient Thai Airlines
 

Has anyone heard if Orient Thai are hiring and what they fly? I have heard the Chief Pilot is a bit of a nut case. Is this true and who is he?

They fly B747-100/200s and Tristars.

Hmm, yes the chief pilot (at least the old one, don't think has been changed) was/is...strange, to say the least.

As for the airline, they still owe one or two crew for the 1999 Hadj...beware. :hmm:

Thanks for the info guys but I hear from friends in the region that this chief pilot is a new recruit that has been fired from all previous employers and is now out of Orient Thai. Perhaps on his way back to some asylum. Ha Ha Ha. Perhaps he's out on a weekend pass and is overdue to the padded cell.

I do rememember that a group of Air atlanta pilots talked with the owner in JED while on Haj 2000.
It seems they still owed them from previous employment with Orient. But his company name was changed to Campochina
As far as I know all were paid back wages at that time.
I think the owners name was Uda or something close to that.
