Another wannabe here.

I don't think there are any claims made on ppjn that everything it contains is matter of fact, but it is still a useful source of info as it comes from the inside of the Airlines. I find it very useful and appreciate the effort that goes into it. It may not be as accurate as the ipa ( of which i am a member ) but it gives us wannabes another site to browse during our search for that illusive RH seat.
Thanks AirBus Girl for actually answering master yodas question ( aaah recieved an answer he has ) rather than posting rubish like me.

cheers

Desk-pilot,

Check your PMs please!! I mislaid your address somewhere over the Atlantic.

Tess.

Airbus Girl: Your description was better than my attempts on other threads, regarding workloads and very fast-paced duties for many thousands of us (never mind the automation factor, or lack of it).:)

Turboprop FO's earn from 14-18K + allowances. Expect around 2K. The captains earn 29K to around 35K plus allowances.
This is the smaller turboprop market, ie freight.
Often you have to buy your type rating at around 7-12K. Of course, no guarantee of a job.
Most of us work nights.
