flybe cadet pay

Chaps

Could anyone please inform me of the pay and conditions for pilots on the flybe part sponsorship deal. Basically I have applied and whilst a job at the end is good, if successful my contribution of £32k would come close to buying a modular fATPL anyway. I know for a fact that the starting salary will be less than a D/E pilot and have no qualms about this. However there is a five year bond and it seems that if I am on a reduced salary for the whole length of this, the scheme starts to look less attractive.

Thanks

i think you also get bonded on the aircraft in addition.Expect to take how something similar to what the CA1's get. However in the current climate you may well do you own ATPL and spend a long time waiting for a job. When you do get one it'll most likely be turboprop. Catch 22. One thing Flybe can offer is good experience.

If you are offered employment at Flybe - even via an expensive cadet scheme - take it. It would be a great long-term investment in your future...

What type of aircraft would you LIKELY start on? Personally, I'd love to fly a Dash 8-400!!!! Have you seen those things? Long and very, very fast. Nice EFIS flightdeck too - great training...

So, what type would you likely fly first?

They operate the Dash and 146. You are absolutely correct it is a lovely airplane.

I am currently a Flybe cadet who hasn't quite started on line yet. As I understand it as a cadet I will be paid the same wage as a non sponsored pilot minus the repayment for my bond. I am bonded for appox. £15000 which means over my 3 year bond period I will have to pay back £5000 per year from the standard wage. Flybe does not provide the biggest wages in the industry, but they are good employers and have substantial benefits. Besides in the current climate who can really say no to a job where you will gain valuble experience which will stand you in a great position at the end of your bonded period.:)
