Anyone aware of potential A320 Capt. part-time opportunities?
As I have a side business, but still looking to maintain my currency somehow. All the Operators I know can only potentially offer a part-time during winter time, but I would need it for the summer as well.

Jet2 offer various year round part time contracts and are crying out for Airbus rated pilots. BHX, MAN, EDI are current Airbus bases.

You have to join and get in the queue of course!

Direct entry part time Captain will be hard to achieve. Some time, possibly years, as full timer might be necessary.

You have a legal right to request part time / flexible working from day one of your employment, assuming UK based. Legal right to request, not a legal right to granting. Although the law is now so heavily weighted towards the employee it’s almost impossible to deny the request for someone like a pilot who is part of a large work group.

A lot of airlines have negotiated part time contracts with their respective trade unions so you’d likely have to choose one of those available patterns rather than carte blanche pick whatever you fancy.

However you’re almost certainly not going to find many, if any, part time positions advertised other than seasonal. Airlines don’t like them. It ramps up the employee unit cost considerably.
