Does Switzerland allow FAA Certificates?
Hello everyone.
I've been invited by Swiss to do the direct entry FO assesment. I am a dual citizen (US/DE) and currently fly in the USA for one of the 3 Legacy Carriers. (AA, DL, UA) I told Swiss I only have FAA certification and they keep on insisting thats ok to fly their Jets. Is that true? I always was under the impression I needed an EASA license. Personally I'm dying to move back to Europe. But I don't want to waste their time (nor mine) as I'm pretty sure its not true. I dont want to quit my job and start training and be told to leave since I don't have EASA. |
This might be the place to ask:

They're probably expecting to get you a validation of your FAA cert which will allow you to fly (for a year) while you take the EASA exams. In that case they won't care if you scrape 75% and have multiple retakes etc..
