Nice to see especially those at the bottom have got 30%; having struggled in BEA to put food on the table after my hostess wife was sacked for getting pregnant - yes I know it was my carelessness - then having to sign on the dole; feel for all of those at the bottom.

I can’t work out whether you’re pleased for the pilots or whether you’re a jealous dinsosaur of yesteryear.

BlindPew's posts are fascinating but his syntax can be a bit challenging.
The AL deal seems to be a modest pay rise but with a lot of younger pilots salary capped on narrow body aircraft which is a large part of the AL TA fleet so not all that sweet .

Yea of little faith..extremely pleased for them and although my pension isn’t the same level as their salaries it’s more than adequate having joined one of the four great flag carriers in the 70s.
As for my syntax, I had (have) a photographic memory which leads to not only rubbish spelling/ stuttering/ but not being able to put into words as fast as I think. The advantages are an incredible three dimensional ability to navigate and aviate such that glider aerobatics and mountain flying in france got boring very quickly and I’m left with paragliding, 3D model flying and riding high powered motorcycles in the mountains.
Age doesn’t help with short term memory though.
Bastille day tomorrow which I shouldn’t really celebrate.
