Hello there,

Would anyone out there in PPrune World happen to have any up-to-date info on salary, benefits package and general working conditions for the folk working in the EK sim? It's something that has been of interest to me for quite a while now but I've drawn a blank on sourcing credible information.

I'd be extremely grateful if someone in the know could enlighten me. TVM in anticipation.

Standard EK package. Money is less than a FO. All the rest is the same. All in all a good deal as a single or couple.

Tip: apply only if you have a VERY solid EBT training background from a VERY solid and respectable airline. Don’t bother otherwise, you will lose your time.

Am I to assume from your response that you’re an SFI at EK?

Not currently. I’ve only worked there for 22 years and more than half of that in Training.
I guess I have a rough idea of what they’re looking for.

You were looking for information, weren’t you? If you want to get precise figures regarding the package I’d suggest you apply and you will get all the numbers you need, which i have summarized in my reply above.

Regarding who gets in: again this is how it goes. And no, they’re not looking for some freelancing TRI who has done a handful of sim sessions in some questionable ATOs. They have one of the most advanced training system in the world and are looking for people who can fit in that system from Day 1. Simple.
