Nordica crj900

Hi guys,

Does anyone knows the conditions for Captains and FOs in Nordica?

Banana Joe 26th May 2021 13:11

Are they hiring again? I've got a friend that was a washed out from another CRJ operator bankruptcy and managed to get in Nordica just before the pandemic stroke.

Yes mate, but I would like what's the conditions...

I'm glad people can still act like they have multiple job offers and need more info to make a decision on which airline to go for.

Because for some it’s a question of if those conditions are good enough to make the job worth it. Can’t go to Nordica if you can’t support your family in home country etc and the nordica conditions were pretty terrible pre Covid

If you go to the pilotjobsnetwork webpage and search for Nordica, the answers are there. I took down the broken link.

This is what I posted on 11 May 2018. Don’t know if it is still valid.

Was in contact with Confair about there First Officer positions for Nordica in Groningen.

The requirement is 1500hrs. So they request experience from applicants.

Then the salary for F/O will be:
0-1250 €1750 base €33 extra per hour >70hrs
1250-2000 €2450 base €47 >70
2000-3000 €2590 base €49 >70
3000+ €2730 base €52 >70

Asked Confair if my previous experience would be eligable for the above pay scheme...they couldn’t confirm...

I thanked politely for their offer and explained that experience comes at a price. And the offer wasn’t attractive enough for me personally.

To be honest, I wouldnt say that. I have been working on contract for them for 3y and conditions were pretty good. With roster of 20/10, we usually got about 16-18 duty days. You got your roster published with fixed schedule 20/10. As you all know, this is not really fixed in airlines, especially in summer, when you have a lot of duty/FDP issues. Company paid for the CRJ typerating, paid for the proceedings, all costs (even airport car parking, laundry) and hotels. In 2018 there were opportunities of additional income thru FDO (fly during day off) and of course per diems.. When the pandemic came, company was still providing monthly payment till the end of the contract... Luckily, no bad apples, like Wizz guys :) There was a lot of pain when nordica started. However it became a mature and well organized company..

No direct experience with Nordica however Tallinn is an excellent place to live, moved out here 5 years ago from the UK and have not looked back.

Tallinn was not really an option for expats. Majority of pilots were Tallinn based, cuz they were at home. We were spread all over the network. Familiar like bizav patterns with only difference - wehre we came for one duty shift, we have usually stayed there all month (15-20 days) unless otherwise requested. Of course, if one wanted to fly from Tallinn, planning was usually helpful.. There were also lot of work from ARN, CPH, BEG, etc. Not popular were GEV (for those of you who flew up north, you know why...) in winter and VNO operation on behalf of LOT.
