Two Sets Of Rules?

King AIr B250 Captain (Muslim)-Latest Pilot Jobs-Latest Pilot Jobs

King AIr B250 First Officer (Muslim)-Latest Pilot Jobs-Latest Pilot Jobs

So how is this allowed? How about Christian Pilots only, no Muslim Pilot? It would be World News if a European Airline does this...

Heathrow Harry 22nd December 2017 16:21

Because, dear boy , it's their country and they can do what they like there

That's what "independence" means

A340rider 22nd December 2017 16:30

Shame we dont do the same in Euro Land Dear Harry...We have to be politically correct otherwise we offend..

gearlever 22nd December 2017 16:40

Seems they are about 600 years behind....

standbykid 22nd December 2017 16:48

Probably based or flying to Mecca or Medina which only Muslims can visit.

What would be the benefit of such a discriminatory application requirement for any European airline?

As proved by the Icelandic 747s usually chartered to do the pilgrim flights, piloted by westerners.

Ever seen an ad for a flying job with Samaritan's Purse?

https://careers.samaritanspurse.org/...ua/job/7559478

Qualifications:

Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and is a consistent witness for Jesus Christ.

Now why did you have to go and post this? I much preferred reading how unfair things are for us ‘Christians’.

Not exactly. I know several non-muslim pilots who have flown to Jeddah or Medina also with muslim pilgrims.

I did a charter to Lourdes and wanted to do my standard before landing PA. only problem I couldn't because the on board priest had demanded the use of it to do about 20 minutes of blessings before landing. That was in 2010. Same same. But different.

Muslims can only visit Makkah and Madinah and this role will more than likely require routes in this restricted area. Those who are spitting their dummy out are very welcome to change their faith to Islam and apply for the role.

Sorry...sorry... It's all unfair and you're totally marginalised ;)

Two sets of rules

There is indeed two sets of rules in that neck of the woods.
A bit hard for someone from the West to wrap your head around.
Why ever would anyone want to fly a Be250 down there ?

Anyway, It is a bit interesting to see them trying to export their brilliant model!
Just watch.

We used to do hajj flights to Mecca.
It’s ok, if you use approved hotels/routes etc.

As these people say

WALK IN BOLD FAITH - EXPECT God to do the impossible
I don't really understand why they want or need licensed and experienced pilots.

Incorrect. I second Meester proach's post: Non-Muslims can go inside the ''Haram'' zone in Medina, provided they have hotac there. Wear long pant's though when outside, or you may not like the attraction you'll get.

Don't think you'll have much luck flying for these guys, if you're slightly short of being an extremely devout Christian either.

https://www.maf.org/about/statement-of-faith

It doesn't say so, but it's fair to assume that 'only Christians need apply'.

'Two sets of rules' is common throughout the world, even in the supposedly 'enlightened' parts of it.
