About the roster, since it is an older post, is there anything changed in the rostering system in the mean time?

To answer your question. I don't work there myself anymore, but I still have half my friends working there and I worked there for many years too. If you need more in depth information just send me a PM and I can get your questions answered from people in the company. AFAIK the rostering now works with CrewBids/InterBids so there is a way to give preferences. Pilot shortage as is the case everywhere leads to the requests not being super reliable probably. Strikes that happened were due to a multitude of factors (some legal issues as well with the company refusing to correctly pay its employees). They don't have a fixed roster system like ryanair 5 on 4/5 off, the most of the time you'd see a 4/5/6 on with 2/3/4 off on a 100% roster. Time to command is pretty short as I understand because of the huge outflow of experienced pilots to other companies (Sub 5 yrs). Let me know if you need more info |

You get worked up real quick, looking at your insulting words and ***’s Must be an experience to work with you, and goodness how you would react in a serious situation- rather not think about it. Keep cool … |

First of all, I guess the management pilot to-be above here has issues with the legal right to strike.. No need to be a c*nt about these things and insult everyone.. See? Not fun right.
The roster 'issues' you are referring to are indeed a fact, but are aswell a reality within airlines all across Europe. On top of that, when you're new to the company - perhaps a direct entry captain may be the only exception - you should not be expecting a fixed roster let alone to have your specific requested days off. Not even foreign contractors are getting these to spend some valuable time with their family at home. On the other hand, the additional benefits are quite extensive. You take some, you lose some. |
Hi everyone,
I recently came across an opportunity where Brussels Airlines is hiring A320 freelance Captains on a 1-year renewable contract. I’m curious to learn more about this role from those who might have experience or insights. Specifically, I’d like to know:

Hi! Has anyone recently been through the FO selection process at Brussels Airlines? If so what can one expect and what should one study to ensure a successful outcome?

Hey!
Do you still work for SN? If so, do you mind if I'd ask you some questions? Thanks! |
