Mountain High generally (exclusively?) recruits for Air Atlanta Icelandic; if it's for them then you will have to pay for their type rating.

samca 29th January 2013 21:17

Is it for Smart Lynx

Nippon1 30th January 2013 09:39

Mountain High/Airborne are owned by Air Atlanta Icelandic

samca 30th January 2013 10:37

Do you think that they will offer a Job or a line Training program?

captplaystation 30th January 2013 10:52

Why don't you just ask them directly ?

samca 30th January 2013 11:19

I can do it of course, captain play station but if I ask for it Iīm opening the door donīt think?? try to use your head my friend.

Ask again, if anybody knows if this company offer line trainings or jobs??

samca 30th January 2013 12:14

bouphi 16th February 2013 12:48

how much are they paying ?
F/O : ?
CPT : ?

pilotatlast 16th February 2013 13:32

Have seen smart lynx are recruiting. Disgraceful salary for experienced A320 FO's. works out about €150 per flying day over the summer. Can get more working in Tescos!:ugh:

bluk 16th February 2013 18:55

Hi there!
Has anyone news about possible interviews? I've received an email that I should wait 4 weeks for a call and after that my cv will be considered only for future vacancies...

Whiskery 24th February 2013 08:03

Air Atlanta have never been big payers but are a reasonable mob to work for if you're not looking for a career with them!!

finswe 27th February 2013 20:24

I got the same email a couple weeks ago as bluk did. I donīt have hours on type so let see.. Does anyone know anything about Smartlynx assessment?

Thanks in advance!

downwind24 27th February 2013 20:49

I received the same reply last year and i'm not even rated ! Smartlynx must be passing all application details on to them.

They are a fine company, just go ahead and apply - if you are what they are looking for then you will get lucky, if not then you will have a long wait. Like the man said, ask them directly and fill in the application form and don`t fanny about wondering `what if` all the time. If you like the deal you join, if you have the qualifications, if not, then you don`t join, its as simple as that.

finswe 8th March 2013 09:53

Have you guys heard anything from Mountain High or Smartlynx yet? Itīs been about 3,5 weeks now when I got the email from Mountain High and nothing yet.

Well, I understand that it takes time but just wondering. :)

samca 8th March 2013 11:50

I still having so news:=

finswe 8th March 2013 12:36

Hi Samca,

When did you get the email from Mountain High?

mrzero 30th March 2013 00:02

Air Atlanta stay away!!!

AAI or Air Atlanta is a cone and the Icelantics treat you like dirt!! Its a culture of union Icelantics and non-union contractors. They take all the good trips and they think they are pro's but do not talk to you in English on the flight deck, so you do not know what is going on. Dangerous to me! Airborne does not want to hear you say you work for Air Atlanta or even them as you are a "contractor" as HMRC would have a field day with them even though they are 100% owned by Air Atlanta and they are based out of Guersey for your contract. They will terminate you at a whim and then put you on a different more less contract. You have no rights there, so if you need time still don't go! They can harge 30,000USD for a type rating which is outrageous. You can get one in MIA in 10 days for 10,000 what a rip off!! But, they say we offer employement. Ya, for about 6 months and then they say that the Hajj is over and slow down in flights and they have to cater to the Icelandic union pilots who get 3 weeks on pay and 3 weeks off pay, but contractor's do not get paid for time off!!! So, you are looking at maybe 8 months of work if lucky. There have been guys never called back and others off for 4 to 5 months!!! The Icelantic guys think this is fine and they treat you terribly. They are are an inbreed nightmare!!
Just stay away and if you are bent on aviation then go somewhere else, but would suggest another career all together.

Interview Airborne/ Air Atlanta

I've got an interview coming up with Airborne Personnel/AAI for the 747 course. I have only been provided with limited information on the contract so I'm going along with an open mind to find out more.

It's held near LGW as is the sim assessment. Any heads up on what the interview is like? Many tech questions?

Thanks

blue_thunder 27th April 2013 08:30
