Commercial or Private???

Hi, I'm just after people's opinions on what they think is better/what they would do? I'm in a job flying a B737 which is great, but not near my home town. There is a possibility of being offered a job flying something like a Global in the private sector, on my doorstep. This is employment directly with the owner of the plane and not a NetJets type of thing. It would mean living where I want to live, but would be away from the family more. Is it best to stay in the commercial world?? Appreciate any input. Thanks.
