Minoan Air (MAV)

New airline, based HER Greece, founded last year (AOC Oct 2011). Started ops this past summer with 4 F-50s mostly charters to begin with. Rumors about another 4 F-50s ordered. They just wet-leased one a/c to the swedish Flyglinjen, one had been leased to GoodFly (Spain) for the summer and they also plan to start Oxford based routes.

Any other relevant info is welcome! ;)

may find you are carrying a lot of people from Greece- Oxford with very heavy baggage and an empty plane going back...........

also may be turning Greek euros into aluminium which can then be reconverted to deutschmarks next year

It appears this lot are planning to operate "London Oxford" to Edinburgh . . .

Minoan Air flies from Oxford

Oct 1st, 2012
Minoan Air announces the commencement of five routes out of the London Oxford Airport in early 2013.
Five routes have been identified from the London Oxford Airport that demonstrate satisfactory traffic potential. The airline plans to operate the Munich, Amsterdam, Copenhagen Dublin and Edinburgh routes starting in January 2013 with a gradual introduction that will last for two months. The objective of the airline is to offer a premium service with no additional charges. More routes are under examination.
The frequency and departure time for each route will be tailored to the requirement of the business passenger for each specific route. Ticket sales for these routes will be available both online and from travel agencies by the middle of November 2012.

Whats the likelyhood of this getting off the ground? Has anyone heard if this is in anyway related to the same person/people who nearly set it up last time?

Is Minoan Air connected to the Minoan Group who have set-up in Glasgow.?

with the group.

How do you apply to this job as a pilot?
The website doesn't really allow you to?
How is it going with the company?

You could have a chance if you are from Crete
