Italian pilot,,,,,,,how long ago did you apply to Qatar for SO fast track.
|
The ETOPS job is, I strongly believe, Wizzair, so no joy there.
The problem you have, is that companies do not see any "advantage" (I.E € for them) in taking you in preference to someone who will pay (over the odds) for a TR/Ltng package, & with 300hr on type, you can't even play the "experienced" card. I would suggest Small Planet/Vueling, but I know the former, & suspect the latter, company also prefer P2F. I wish you luck. |
What makes you say no joy with wizz...? I applied for the non TR FO, apparently they can bond you......
|
He already said in his 1st post he applied to Wizz & no news, so I meant " no joy" as in same company (as opposed to "another" opportunity)
|
Ah i see, there will more than likely be no joy anyway with all the spanair lot
|
A bit like that, Spanair topped up the reservoir of A320 guys, Malev provided the same service/disservice (depending on whether you are an employer/employee) on the 737. . . not by choice in either case I would hasten to add.
|
Wizz
You've got that right about Spanair & Malev ...I've applied for NON TR A320 F/O ...I got an answer did the online quiz and then Malev collapsed and i still haven't got any feedback yet ....almost 4 weeks now ...so...most likely I want get it at all .... :*
|
Lnav how long did you wait for them to contact you to do the online quizz I applied about 10 days ago have heard Zilch.

TCX like Monarch prefer CTC cadets over experienced crews.

Hi guys,
sorry for my late reply to your posts, but it wasn't too easy to find an internet connection in the place I am. Thanks to all your replies. I am sending hundreds of applications to all airbuses companies, hope something will arise soon. Any idea if there are also "companies" that, after payment, allow to fly this remaining 200 hours to reach my 500 minimum and apply also to companies with higher requirements? This case will be my ultimate chance, of course. But since I didn't pay for the type rating, I have some money left... Cheers! :ok: |
!
fai domanda come SO in Qatar
|
Ciao Blusky,
thank you for the reply! I already did it, like few weeks ago, I know it will take some time to be considered for the selection... You work there? |
@ de facto,
i thought Carnival was over and april fools day stil a month away ? |
I am interested in that opportunity can you please give details where can i apply
Thanks |
@italianpilot do I remember correct that you worked for LHI?
Did they leave you alone on the street with nothing? Try YES in Poland, they are desperate at least for Cpts and looking for FOs. Apply via aeroprofessional. You work 21 days and get a block of 9 days of. Cpts get 6500€ gross!!! No travel allowance. Its really a joke, can't believe someone is working for these conditions.:=:yuk: comunque, strada lunga da Varsavia a roma. |
TCX like Monarch prefer CTC cadets over experienced crews. 2011 was the first time since 2008 that Monarch have hired crew, they took on 22 experienced FO's and 8 CTC Cadets onto the Airbus. This year there are 19 experienced FO's and 22 cadets joining. 41 experienced vs 30 cadets |
def not true as I know two experienced guys that got in 6 weeks ago.
|
Yeah but of the 22 last year and 19 this year over 50% of them were trained where? That's right, ctc. Plenty with just 500 on type - not exactly experienced! I wouldn't obsess about going to TCX or Monarch though, you could well be looking for a job again within the year in my opinion.
|
Not really sure how or why that's relevant?
A lot of Monarch Captains are ex-CTC as is one of our Fleet Captains. The point is they hired a lot of non-cadets, the requirements were an A320 type rating and experience of flying in Europe. Recruitment was open to all with the above, you just had to know where to look. Maybe they won't be around forever, but while they are they continue to be an excellent employer and open to those with experience, possibly even non type rated come Autumn. |
