Emirates Pilots 'End of Service payment' question

I am on the verge of joining Emirates as a long term career prospect, please to all of you ready to jump in and hammer me with the 'don't come here stuff', thanks in advance but I have read everything on here already and am making my own informed decision.
My question to EK pilots who have been in the company for a while, would you mind shedding some clearer light on how the end of service fund works and more importantly what could it be worth after 5, 7,10,15 or 20 years say. I'm merely trying to establish if I do join in my mid thirties now, what I'd potentially be looking at for retirement. I have a private pension which I'd maintain also. Averages and ball parks would be fine. I'm just thinking ahead.

Thanks

D73.

If you assume minimal growth, and the fact that it'll take you about 5 years to command, below are ball park figures based on mine.

5 years- 75G us
7 years- 120G us
10 years- 190G us
20 years- 500G us

Hope this helps.

DRM,

Yep will go with Vagrant,s scenario. This is your worst case scenario. Be conserative and plan on these figures then there won,t be any surprises at the end of the road.

There will always be guys with worse figures (lazy or dumm investers who kept the fund in defaulted mode) ,or better ( active or smart investers with good timing on the stockmarket).

Sanddude and Vagrant thank you both, that's perfect.
