L1011 old timers beware...he's baaaaaack!
mugrabi, AKA, orange jet, AKA barq aviation is back looking for more sheep to slaughter for his 2010 hajj 1011 flying. he is advertising for the october starting hajj with low salaries of $300 per day for captains and $200 for first officers and flight engineers.
besides a low pay for the hajj hassles, he always seems to forget to pay his crews. ask the ex ATA guys from 2009 and also from 2008. did you know he stranded a crew in 2007 in ghana for 42 days without pay, stuck them with the hotel bill and no ticket home. a clear buyer beware to any unsuspecting 1011 driver. you are better off playing piano in a "house of pleasure" for tips than working for this guy......you might actually make more money tax free tha:ugh:n you would get from this con artist |
The FAA is beginning to notice, as well, as Barq retains US aircraft registration....for now.
I am told FAA inspectors are to visit them shortly for a close look-see, because....they have no valid lease agreements filed with the FAA for US registered aircraft used by a foreign air carrier. PS: FAA-licensed crew, who might fly these airplanes for Barq, had better have a valid FAA proficiency check within the last twelve months, otherwise individual certificate action (suspension or revocation) could result. Not a happy thought...:ooh: |
Nice airplane.

Can someone purchase an L-1011 endorsement like Korean Air and Southwest pilots frequently do? |
