Please, does anybody know what's gonna happen to successful people put on holding pool last year (selected via Zenon and people selected directly from the company)?

I might be wrong but I'm pretty sure they'll call bmi guys first.
However, any idea if they'll call people from the holding pool before starting new selection days with new people?

Thank you for any internal information.

Boeing Europe 6th September 2012 19:55

I heard they have allready done screenings for BMI baby guys at Donnington Castle..??/

Boeing Europe 14th September 2012 11:27

Has anyone been contacted or got the PFO , I have heard they have got thousands of applications from guys with time on type etc....? anyone on the inside have an idea

Boeing Europe 14th September 2012 12:25

So essentially there will be no upcomming interviws or if there is it will be for hold pool only....?

Jumbo2 14th September 2012 13:40

Pretty sure there will be interviews for non Baby pilots, Jet2.com being a fair company, has just given priority to the Baby pilots for the first selection slots.

What I understood from a few successful Baby pilots is; the courses are there, they are just sorting out who will be planned for which course. All this through the grapevine.

Jet2 are interviewing non BMI and non holding pool guys so every one who has applied has a chance.

Does anyone know what type of contract is on offer? I've been offered an assessment centre but I was under the impression they were 100% contracts, not 70%!

Shockwave83 20th September 2012 17:43

Don't quote me on this but isn't there a range of contract options available?

Did you receive a call today MrHorgy?

I applied the day the job was advertised but still all quiet (hoping no news is good news).

Boeing Europe 20th September 2012 18:29

Me too shockwave I have 1k 737NG I was hoping no news was good news regarding thomson , but just got the PFO:ugh:

N747EX 20th September 2012 19:59

Jet2 Recruiting now

Just to clarify 70% means 70% of the pay or all the pay but just fly 70% of year?

4Screwaircrew 20th September 2012 20:43

70% of the salary flying for a little under 70% of the year.

Interview

I got offered an assesment day for October. I have 1500 737-800 and 1700 total

G-IZMO 21st September 2012 11:18

Did I blink and miss it, or has the recruitment web page not opened again this year? Having been in the hold last year and had a 'you've expired, please re-apply' e-mail, I'd like to do just that. Anyone else applied on line in the last few months?

G

A380iscool 21st September 2012 11:39

GIZMO are you 737 rated? are you currently imployed with an airline

Boeing Europe 21st September 2012 11:47

How are they contacting for assesments , I have 900 737NG and 1200TT but phone is not working last 2 days currently getting a new one , sickened if i miss their call.

A380iscool 21st September 2012 12:09

Was a phone call and they left a message than i rang them up.

i recommend ringing them up and giving them an alternative number like your home one.

MrHorgy 21st September 2012 13:16

After doing some digging...

Contract runs 1st April - 31st October and your paid £45k per year, but pro rated to 70%. Add on duty pay of maybe £300 a month. Plus a reduced salary during training.

No idea on moves to permanent, nor what you do during the winter. You ARE paid year round though.
