B1.1 Training and Bonding

Gents

Working in DXB , my employer forced me now to attend a B1.1 course. Herefore I got bonded.

Someone with expirience , how to come out of this, when my Boss forded me to attend ??

Normally wanted to leave this company in the next 6 month....

Any info would be appreciated.

The idea of a bond is for the company who have invested in training you want something back, i.e. a bit of commitment.

You have 2 choices, say no, or if you want to leave during the bond period pay up!

I have been bonded, most I have completed, 1 I left before the bond had expired and paid back what I owed, it goes down pro rato over a set period, it also didn't give me a black mark against my name, after all aviation is a small world, and breaking a bond by running away may well follow you as it's highly unlikely they will give you a good reference when looking for another job.

What is a B1.1 course?
How were you forced?
How was the contract (bond) initiated?

On the assumption that a B.1.1 course is a type rating or something similar, then I assume that the costs incurred by your employer are recoverable by the terms of your contract of employment?

By forced, do you actually mean it was the best choice in the circumstances?

Usually with any contract there are terms to satisy the contract early. Do you have these?

You haven't really given enough information on which to offer a proper opinion.
