Is $7,000 for a Captain, $4,000 for an FO ridiculous for Africa these days or about right?

I have some friends flying ATR 42 in Moroc for 10000 dollars.
Detail. Almost everybody can fly a ATR , but not a wide body.

So , 14000 $ would be a good figure.

yeah, playstation a 320, you are right, widebodies are not for everybody, but your sidestick is, as concerns atr 42 is not so easy to drive it.......

Yeah i actually think the ATR is a harder machine to drive then the MD!

Have you guys flown a MD11 to MEX, at 222 to landingweight, GS 198 kts not doing a hard landing, then you can say an ATR is harder to operate!

And MD11 is very unforgiving, especially on landing. ANC in the winter,llws,crosswind, snow, at 213t landing weight. MD 11 f/o take home with everything end of year, 70,000-75,000usd, cheap cost of living here.

This sounds like a place to keep current while ou pay the bills and look for something better.
