Ryanair Bases for a Non EU pass holder ???
Hi gents,
I`m going through a screening process at Ryanair,I don't have the EU passport,but my wife has an Italian citzenship.Do you believe I have a chance to choose one of the bases in Italy ????Anyone in the same situation flying there could give some help,wich steps to follow??? Cheers :ok: |
Hi Boreas
Don't get too excited about Ryanair until you make it in. I'm saying this because I am in exactly the same situation as you (wife with ITA citizenship, me tagging along on her passport), and a few months ago I too went to Ryanair, and paid the "recruitment costs", only to be told at the interview that they needed me to have a full EU passport, as cases like mine didn't work out for them before. Something to do with should they need to move you temporarily or on short notice to another base in another country, it wouldn't be possible, as in our case the wife needs to move to and register in that country before you could work there. Might just depend on which HR guy you get at the interview, but this is what I got told right at the start of the day, so just thought I'd let you know. It's not a problem at other airlines, with all their bases in the same country (I've since got a much better job :ok:), but with Ryanair (and probably Easyjet) with bases in different countries, it seems to be an issue. Good luck anyway, hope this helps. Cheers! |
@Boreas
