Staff Travel Upgrade entitlements
 

Hi all,

Quick survey among you all sort of following from the how much do you take home thread.

What's the deal with staff travel entitlements regarding upgrade to first/biz class. Unlimited on space avail basis/certain no. per year/ pay extra for ticket? Self/ spouse /kids /buddy.

Am particularly interested in VS BA BMI.

I'll start the ball rolling:

Depends on length of service but generally 5-10 years you would get
unlimited standby
5 Free
2 positive
Wife and kids get same
4 buddy passes per year

Historically you would be upgraded to biz class on board on an informal basis (not with kids tho). Company (EI) have now banned this practice and threatened dismissal for breach of new diktat!!!.:ugh:

Would be interested to know what's the deal in other companies

Nothing is for free in BA...not even your one or two free tkts per year.

Operating on B737 Freighter in Europe,
only Jumpseats available but as many free tickets on company routes as you wish, also for anybody you like to take with you, limited to space available, usually on first come first serve basis.

All you pay is taxes for the unlimited travel.

However, no interline etc.

Dont know what after takeover by King
