Air Mauritius looking for ATR captain

Comments in the advert in flight international :

"Successful candidates on the ATR Fleet may expect promotion to Jet Fleets subject to suitability, overall performance and availability of jet positions"

The last ATR captain promoted to Jet Fleet ( promoted as A319 F/O , with the same basic salary :rolleyes: ) stayed four years on ATR fleet ! The next one if he is a " good boy " will stay four years as well .

Make your choice ! :)

Considering that Air Mauritius are also recruiting A319/A330/340 F/O's at the moment then that wait for "availability of jet positions" could theoretically be a very long wait

For the Airbus fleet, can you apply there without the necessary work visas (ie if you are non Mauritian), what is the salary like? Time to command (10-20 years?)

heard from a friend, they now extending present four year contracts to further another four years on ATR... bye bye Jet position...hellp Turbo Prop for life!!! :hmm:
