BA Cityflyer
Can anyone tell me whether crew for BA Cityflyer earn the same Staff Travel benefits as BA mainstream before I go applying?
All i want from life is a well paid job, and some cheap long haul flights....!!! :ok: |
If it's a well paid job you want, don't bother...
Good luck if you do try! |
Staff travel is similar to mainline. Flight deck do not the same club tickets per year that mainline get. BACF get none! Just the bog standard ID90's, after 6 months, that any BA employee gets. If your not FD then I think it'll be the same.
As for well paid... HA, HA!! not at BACF!!!!! :E |
Does anybody know what New routes Cityflyer are starting this year ?
|
Nice, Barcelona, Amsterdam and Warsaw
ciao |
Thanks but when do they start the Dublin route ?
|
They will be gone within 2 years
|
Hi Altsel,
are you basing that statement on anything concrete that you would like to share with us ? |
Probably the BA scope agreement that says all the 100+ seat aircraft have to be disposed of or returned to mainline in about two years time.
|
Why are BA pilots not fighting to get the Cityflyer pilots on the mainline seniority list?
Probably for the same reason as BA Connect - if it does't effect them directly or potentially why give a stuff? |
As you are too lazy to bother reading any of the BA/OS threads which contain the answers to your question I'm not going to tell you here.
|
Actually Hand S, I think I answered my own question - now get back to that brazier!
|
Flyer55; As far as we are aware there are no immediate plans to start any other routes however all opportunities are being investigated so watch this space!
And in answer to the original question we get broadly the same staff travel deal but just without the free tickets. |
We only seem to be taking F/O's from the likes of Oxford and Jerez (and seem to have enough for the time being although that could change quickly) but if you've got a few hours then might be worth dropping them a line. Some of the F/O's are fairly quiet at the moment but this should change when the new routes start in May and should average out at about 50-60hrs flying a month but many many more duty hours! Nightstops should average out about 7-10 a month. As for time to command; If you've got the ability and the hours then you'll be put forward.

Excuse me are we talking Avro fleet for Cityflyer out of LCY? Sorry a bit confused.
|
Iver yes it is the Avro fleet it is the ONLY fleet Cityflyer has, dont be confused by talk of 318s etc these aircraft are to be mainline aircraft operating the LCY/ New York service and so nothing to do with the Cityflyer operation .

FO starting salaries at BACF
Can anyone shed some light please on the starting salaries for FOs at BACF? They're recruiting for FOs (as well as 'Experienced FOs') in this weeks' Flight'.
Many thanks. HW |
|
Can anyone tell me if its just EDI or LCY as well that they're hiring for at the moment. Also any up to date salary/pension info would be appreciated as ppjn seems to be a couple of years out of date.

The BACF flyer handed out at last Oct's BALPA/EOC conference says £34.3k-£41.5k for FOs, plus £3k-£5k pa allowances. I just wanted to see if these figures were correct.
Both the Flight advert and BACF www confirm only EDI as the recruiting base. HW |
